Hey everyone, welcome back to another UX Writing Challenge. So, today we are seeing at another challenge that was given as an option on Day 15 of our writing challenge series. Let’s get started.

The Challenge:

Challenge: Write a multi-screen registration experience for a car-buying app that lets users view discounted prices. The app also enables dealers to call and email the user so they’ll visit the dealership to buy a car.

Character constraints per screen (all challenges):

Headline: 45 characters

Body: 100 characters

Button: 25 characters

Time limit: 1 hour

As a UX writer, one of your job responsibilities is to understand the business requirement explained in plain language and use the information that you obtained in your project. So, let’s see what screens that I can come up with. Please note that I assume that I am the end user and complete the challenge according to my interests and my visualizations.

Screen 1: Introduction and Pop-up for registration

Headline: Please complete your registration to get started.

Body: We try to provide best deals to our customers. Please provide your details to stay connected and hear about best offers.

Button: Register.

Screen 2: Registration Details

Headline: Please fill below details.

Body: Please provide your contact information and car type preferences. We will reach out to you.

Button: Submit.

Screen 3: Success Page

Headline: Thank you for providing details

Body: We will look for best offers available and contact you according to your availability. See you soon.

Button: Browse Cars.

This is a fairly simple scenario. There is no need for extra pages as the challenge only requires us to write for the registration. In all screens I made sure that the user knows that the dealership will contact the user after completing the registration. However, I think the content can be changed and my solution is not very optimal. I would love to hear ideas of what you will write in this scenario and may be everyone reading the article can learn a trick or two from the comments section.

Thank you for reading the article. Hope you have a nice day.
